History of Mqabba Parish Church

Mqabba became a parish in 1598 and a new parish church was built in 1966 replacing the old parish church dedicated to St. Basil. The current parish church is dedicated to the Assumption of St. Mary and was unfortunately very damaged during the last war and renovation works were carried out until 1947.
