To and from the Malta International Airport by car
When leaving the Malta International Airport take the main road leading to Marsa which will take you to the capital Valletta, a drive of around 10-15 min. From there on you can easily drive to where you want in the Island as towns are clearly signposted.

To and from the Malta International Airport by public transport
There are four new bus routes that go between the Airport and several villages around Malta and Gozo. There is additional room for luggage and passengers on these routes, which are served by air-conditioned buses.
Route X1 goes to the North of the island, towards Mellieha and Cirkewwa where you can board the ferries to Gozo. X2 goes to the popular St. Julians, where you can get a connection to Sliema. Route X3 passes through central Malta on its way to Bugibba, while X4 goes to the south towards Birzebbuga.
