The History of Mdina Parish ChurchThe Cathedral in Mdina was built during the Norman period and the construction works lasted over 300 years; the Cathedral in Mdina was the only large church in Malta. In 1693 the Cathedral had to be repaired as it suffered major damages through an earthquake. It was rebuilt by Lorenzo Gafà, and was dedicated on the 8th of October 1702.
