Ager Foundation - Agritourism
An environmental friendly way to spend your holiday in MaltaAger Foundation is non-profit, non-governmental organisation who is a large promoter of agro and eco-tourism in Gozo. Agers Foundation’s mission is to promote and teach people about a sustainable, environmental friendly tourism and let visitors experience the healthy lifestyle of Gozo. The Ager Foundation in Gozo is also a member of the Terra Madre Slow Food International and organised a presentation called Responsible tourism and the culture of hospitality “by giving examples of our services” in the World Meeting of Food Communities in Torino in 2006. The Ager Foundation for eco and agro tourism in Malta and Gozo invites visitors for three very interesting and exciting events held in Gharb, Xewkija and Nadur:
Visit their website and read more about each event! Booking in advance is recommended and smaller groups people are welcome, while comfortable clothing is advised. Education Programmes for schools are also organized at this farm where children get to learn a lot of interesting things such as how the taste of sheep’s milk differs from that of a goat and what do these animals eat. Visiting the Ager Foundation is a perfect day way to learn more about animals and being close to nature and do things you never tried before during your holiday in Malta. Guests are always picked up at the particular village square. |
