The Malta Maritime Museum displays a collection of models of ships and marine equipmentThe Malta Maritime Museum is located in Vittoriosa and is spread out over 2,000m2 with one hall focusing only on the Royal Navy in Malta, another one to the Order of St John era and a third one, the Anadrian Hall exhibiting the engine room machinery of the Anadrian. The newer Marine Engineering exhibition opened in October 2003 and it attracts many visitors. There is also a Mechant Navy Section on the first floor and an entire hall dedicated to the Knights of St John’s period where you can see cannons, intriguing paintings and several models of boats. Temporary exhibitions are also arranged in various halls with something new and interesting to see from time to time at the Malta Maritime Museum. Heritage Malta conducts guided tours of the museum at 11.00 am daily. |
