Ghajn Tuffieha
Ghajn Tuffieha is one of the most spectacular unspoiled beaches in MaltaGhajn Tuffieha Bay, sometimes called Riviera, is a beautiful and special sandy beach with it's clay slopes and cliffs located in the North West part of Malta. Ghajn Tuffieha is the second sandy beach in a chain of beaches together with Golden Bay and Gnejna Bay, and is only accessible via a steep flight of 200 stairs from the car park, which can be demanding to climb during the summer months. Ghajn Tuffieha is smaller, more unspoiled than Golden Bay, which makes the beach extra popular with locals and tourist visiting Malta, who want to enjoy the sun and the sea in a peaceful, relaxing environment. The rugged coastline and the hillside behind the beach gives Ghajn Tuffieha a rural atmosphere. The beach has the basic facilities that you need for a long day on the beach, such as sun chairs and umbrellas and a small snack bar. Ghajn Tuffieha is safe for swimming but experiences strong currents when the wind blows from the northwest, therefore swimmers should be careful and only bathe in shallow waters when the red flag is up. Ghajn Tuffieha has one of the most beautiful and spectacular sunset views in Malta and it should not be missed once you come to this beach. |
