Mgarr ix-Xini

Mgarr ix-Xini beach is a small, but very picturesque bay set within a creek and a steep sided natural valley. Mgarr ix-Xini is one of the most secluded beaches in pretty Gozo and therefore offers tranquillity and beautiful views to all of its guests. Mgarr ix-Xini has a pebble beach and is surrounded by rough and high rocks on both sides of the bay. The clear water at Mgarr ix-Xini is perfect for snorkelling and diving, as well as rock climbing to this calm and pretty bay. The clear waters, caves and the rich aquamarine life also make Mgarr ix-Xini one of the best places in Gozo for underwater photography.

The entrance to this deep and stunning valley is reached by car or a hike from Sannat or Xewkija and is guarded by a tower built in 1661 by the local government. A walk around the valley and to the tower offers unique and magnificent views.
