Guesthouses in Malta usually have similar facilities to hotels, but are usually smaller in size, and therefore less crowded. There are a number of guesthouses scattered around Malta and Gozo.

There are very few campsites in Malta, but camping is still a popular activity, some prefer to go to a campsite and use all the facilities available, while others prefer to live in the wild, camp in the countryside and make the best of the facilities that nature offers.
