Arsenic and Old Lace
Black comedy classic at the Manoel TheatreIn April, the local drama production company MADC will present the classic play Arsenic and Old Lace by Joseph Kesselring, directed by Josette Ciappara. The play is classic black humour comedy revolving around Mortimer Brewster, a drama critic who must deal with his insane, homicidal family as well as the police of Brooklyn, as he thinks about whether to go through with his recent promise to marry his ‘girl-next-door’ fiancée. The play will be shown six times in a total of ten days: Friday, 20 April 2012 Saturday, 21 April 2012 Sunday, 22 April 20121 Friday, 27 April 2012 Saturday, 28 April 2012 Sunday, 29 April 2012 All shows start at 19:30.
