EPT in Malta for the first time!

The EPT will be making its first visit to the stunning Mediterranean island of Malta in March 2015 in partnership with the Italian Poker Tour, and will welcome players to the lively seaside resort of St Julian’s. Known as the unofficial ‘capital’ of Maltese nightlife, St Julian’s is home to dozens of clubs, bars, cafes and restaurants, and is the perfect setting for an epic EPT festival. Malta is already home to hundreds of poker players that have relocated to the island in recent years and has one of the sunniest climates in the world.

The European Poker Tournament Malta will run March 17-28, 2015, at the elegant Portomaso Casino, a world-renowned venue which has already hosted numerous major events and lies just a stone’s throw away from the Hilton Malta, the official PokerStars hotel.

The €1,100 IPT Main Event kicks off proceedings from March 18-23, with the €5,300 EPT Main Event taking place March 22-28.

The first edition of the Global Poker Masters will be held during the EPT Malta Festival from March 21-22, 2015. The event is an invitational-only format, gathering the top eight countries of the GPI rankings. Each national team will be composed of the best five players of each country.

Dress code: Smart casual (sportswear is allowed).
Minimum age: 18 years+. Maltese nationals 25 years+.
NB: A valid ID must be shown at the entrance of the casino.
