Celebrate the Olive Picking Season

Zejt iz-Zejtun will be organized once again in 2012! This event is very popular with both the Maltese and tourists alike, as the village of Zejtun welcomes the olive-picking season with an impressive festival. During this weekend you'll have the opportunity to see olive-pressing demonstrations, pageants, crafts exhibitions and many other activities ideal for a great family outing.

The name Zejtun in its semitic origins, means 'olives', so it's only natural that such a festival will be organized in this quaint village in the South of Malta. Olives, oils and other by-products will also be on sale during the event.
