Victory Day in Malta

Join the Victory Day celebrations

Victory Day is an important event in Malta as it marks the end of the Great Siege of 1565 and the end of the French occupation of Malta in 1800. Victory Day is a National Day in Malta and falls on the 8th September allowing people to celebrate this special day.

Several ceremonies will be held across Malta and Gozo to remember Victory Day such as a parade by the Armed Forces of Malta during the morning and a fantastic traditional rowing boat regatta in the Grand Harbour during the afternoon. This is a perfect opportunity to learn more about and experience the Maltese Culture during your holiday in Malta.
