Feast of St. Augustine
One of Valletta's most popular feastsThe Feast of St. Augustine is celebrated annually in the city of Valletta in Malta. For a whole week, Valletta enjoys a celebratory festive mood, as it is wholly decorated in colourful lights, statues and other street decorations. Brass band marches are happening every evening on the days prior to the festa, accompanied by the traditional fireworks, toghether with the nougat and ice-cream stalls distributed around the village. On the day of the feast of St. Augustine, there is a procession around Valletta with the titular statue of St. Augustine followed by brass bands and a crowd of devotees.
