Visit Hamrun during the festa and enjoy the celebrations

The Feast of the Immaculate Conception is celebrated in the town of Hamrun. For several days, the town enjoys great celebrations as it is fully decorated in colourful lights, statues and other street decorations. Brass band marches around the twon are happening every evening on the days prior to the festa, accompanied by the traditional fireworks. You can also try the traditional nougat available in stalls distributed around the village.

On the day of the feast of the Immaculate Conception, there is a procession around Hamrun with the titular statue of the town followed by brass bands and accompanied by a great display of fireworks.
