Feast of the Annunciation

Visit Balzan during the festa and enjoy the celebrations

The Feast of the Annunciation is celebrated annually in the town of Balzan in Malta. For several days, the town has an interesting program of celebrations, both in the church and all over town. The locals decorate Balzan in colourful lights, statues, drapes and other decorations that created a vibrant atmosphere. Brass band marches take place every evening on the days preceeding the festa, accompanied by spectacular fireworks that light up the skies. 

On the day of the feast of the Annunciation, there is a procession around Balzan with the titular statue of the town followed by brass bands and a crowd of devotees.
