Celebrate the festa with the locals, enjoy fireworks and some nougat!The Feast of St. Joseph is celebrated annually in Msida, Malta. Celebrations start from days before the actual date, as the town celebrates in a viabrant and joyful atmosphere. Msida is completely decorated in colourful lights, statues, drapes and other street decorations, making way for cheerful brass band marches taking place all over the town every evening. Spectacular fireworks keep on adding to the great atmosphere, while nougat stalls in the street tempt you with their delicacies. On the day of the feast of Msida, there is a procession around the town with the titular statue of St. Joseph followed by brass bands, a crowd of devotees and needless to say, fireworks. Festas are very important events in Malta, and although you can keep on reading about festas, experience the magic of these Maltese traditions, demands a visit to Msida for the festa of St. Joseph. |
