Visit Victoria and celebrate the festa with the locals

The Feast of St. George is celebrated annually in the city of Victoria in Gozo. During the week prior to the actual date, Victoria enjoys great celebrations while it's completely decorated in colourful lights, statues and other street decorations. Brass band marches play cheerful marches around the town every evening, accompanied by the incredible groud and aerial fireworks, and several nougat and ice-cream stalls for you to indulge in.

On the day of the feast of Victoria, there is a procession around the town with the titular statue of St. George followed by brass bands and a crowd of devotees. A lengthy fireworks display concludes the festa as the statue returns back to the church.
