Feast of the Assumption of Our Lady

The Feast of the Assumption of Our Lady is celebrated annually in the town of Mqabba in the South of Malta For the week before the festa, Maqabba enjoys a great festive mood, as it is wholly decorated in colourful lights and festoons. Brass bands play cheerful marches along the streets of the town every evening on the days prior to the festa. There are accompanied by spectacular fireworks toghether that you can enjoy together with the nougat and ice-cream stalls distributed around the village.

On the day of the feast of the  Assumption of Our Lady, there is a procession around Mqabba with the titular statue of the town followed by brass bands and a crowd of devotees.
