Explore the Maltese culture by visiting Dingli for the festaThe Feast of the Assumption of Our Lady is celebrated in the town of Dingli every year during the month of August. From several days before, Dingli is decorated with colourful lights, statues, festoons and more items that create an incredibly vibrant festive atmosphere. Spectacular fireworks accompany brass bands that play cheerful marches around the town troughout the week prior to festa. The culmination of celebrations is reached on the day of the Feast of Dingli. Apart from religious funtions inside the church, there is also a procession around Dingli with the titular statue followed by brass bands and crowds of devotees. The feast comes to an end with a great fireworks display as the statue returns back to its place in the church.
