Celebrate the feast of St. Peter together with the localsThe Feast of St. Peter is celebrated annually in the city of Birzebbuga in Malta. The week prior to the festa is dominated by a program of festivities: brass band marches, colourful lights, statues, fireworks and most of all a great atmosphere by the local people of Birzebbuga. Cheerful marches by brass bands take you around the town, accompanied by traditional fireworks, while nougat and ice-cream stalls distributed all around tempt your senses. On the day of the feast of St. Peter, there is a procession around Birzebbuga with the titular statue of St. Peter followed by brass bands and a crowd of devotees.
