Feast of St. Joseph

Visit Qala during the festa and enjoy the decorated ambience

The Feast of St. Joseph is celebrated annually in the Parish Church of Qala in Gozo. The days prior to the festa are marked by great celebrations; the town is decorated in colourful lights, statues and other street decorations, while the locals prepare themselves to pray and party. Brass bands play cheerful marches around Qala, accompanied by traditional aerial and ground fireworks, together with several nougat and ice-cream stalls distributed around the village.

On the day, there would be a procession around the town with the titular statue of St. Joseph followed by brass band, a crowd of devotees and a great display of fireworks.
