Feast of Maria Regina
Experience the Maltese culture during the festa in MarsaThe Feast of Maria Regina is celebrated annually in Marsa. For the week before the festa, Marsa enjoys a great festive mood, as it is wholly decorated in colourful lights and festoons. Brass bands play cheerful marches along the streets of the town every evening, accompanied by spectacular fireworks that you can enjoy together with the nougat and ice-cream stalls distributed around the village. On the day of the feast of the Assumption of Our Lady, there is a procession around Marsa with the titular statue of the town followed by brass bands and a crowd of devotees. Festas are important events in the Maltese culture, so to truly immerse yourself in this community, make sure to visit Marsa for the festa of the Maria Regina this year. |
