Hal Luqa: People and History

Explore Luqa's history in an interesting way

Hal Luqa: People and History will take place between the 15th and 20th May in the town of Luqa in the South of Malta. On Tuesday, the 15th of May, there will be a ceremonial Mass at 18:30. The main events will take place on the Friday and Sunday. On Friday at 19:00, one of the tradiotional streets in Luqa will be candle lit, recreating scenes from the lifestyle of the past. You will be able to see children playing traditional games and so on.

On Sunday then, there will be an exhibition of crafts and agriculture set up in the main square of Luqa. There will be live folk singing followed by the inauguration of a bust of a local historian. Hal Luqa: People and History will come to an end with a corteo that proceeds to lay wreaths on the War Monument.
