Divergent Thinkers

Understand the artists' thinking process

Divergent Thinkers is an interesting exhibition that will be held in St. James Cavalier in Valletta between the 27th of July and the 2nd of September. This exhibition doesn't have a particular theme, but it is about the thinking processes of artists when they're in the first stages of creating their work.

This thinking stage is behind the curtains of the end product - a painting or a sculpture, but this exhibition seeks to understand how artists think, how they come up with different ideas or variations on a theme.

Curated by artist Raphael Vella, in this exhibition you will have the opportunity to see artistic practices by seven young Maltese artists that explore divergent thinking - a creative process through which a number of solutions are found to a problem. You can find works in different media: graphite drawings, digital media, installations, sculptures, photography and video. Divergent Thinkers is being organised by Aġenzija Żgħażagħ, with the support of St James Cavalier.
