A Concert of Sacred Music will see The New Choral Singers performing under the direction of Robert Calleja at Balzan's Parish Church on Sunday 24th June 2012.

The repertoire for this concert includes well known anthems by great composers such as the "Ave Verum Corpus" by Elgar and Palestrina's "Sicut Cervus", "The Lord is My Shepherd" by Howard Goodall and "You are the Peace of all things Calm" by Geoffrey Nobes also set the pace for an enjoyable evening of sacred choral works.

Mezzo-Soprano Alexandra Scicluna will be the Choir’s guest soloist for the evening while Irina Fedcenko-Carbonaro and Shirley Helleur will be accompanying her on the piano. The concert is being held in aid of restoration works on various paintings that are housed in the Church. So although this concert has free admission, donations are welcome! A Concert of Sacred Music is being supported by Ernst & Young, the Restoration Directorate and Xerox.
