Malta - the safest place on earth and a perfect holiday destination

Malta is the perfect holiday destination. Not only do they offer 300 days of sunshine a year, the people are friendly and Malta has  a unique heritage. 

Whether your holiday choice is based upon safety or something else, you should feel safe in knowing Malta has just been picked the safest country for 2011 in the release of The World Risk Report for 2011 carried out by the UN’s Institute for Environment and Human Security.

According to The World Risk Report for 2011, Malta and Qatar have been ranked the safest nations on Earth out of 173 countries considering natural disasters, climate change and social vulnerability, as well as the countries' coping capabilities to deal with disasters and crises. Both countries have very low exposure to earthquakes, floods or rising sea levels. If such a disaster were to occur Malta has a very prepared infrastructure to deal with such traumatic events.
