Christmas Dinner for the foreigners living in Malta
A delicious platform for different nationalities to meet and enjoy the good food
On Thursday, 15th December, the Feel@Home Malta team organized an International Dinner for the foreigners that are living in Malta. Around ninety young and not-so-young people from all over the world gathered together at Portside Sports Bar in Sliema, in order to celebrate Christmas together.
There were more than 27 nationalities present, coming from places as far as Ecuador, Russia, Syria, India and every all the four corners of Europe, with every country presenting one or more of its famous culinary delights, with a special focus on dishes and treats that are eaten during Christmas time.
A beautiful blend of colourful dishes and friendly people
The nice aromas blended together as nicely as the crowd did. In fact, those present had the opportunity to present their cultures to the others, in an atmosphere that had no borders, no racism and no wars - just friendly faces looking forward to making new friends.
“Most of the attendees live in Malta for the longer term, either to learn English, study or work”, said Antonella Bonavia, one of the organizers. “The success of this event is not only seen in the number of people that attended the event, but also in their willingness to share their culture, meet others and get to know the other nationalities.”
Feel@Home Malta is a new non-profit organization dedicated to foreigners living, working or studying in Malta aiming to provide a platform for foreigners to interact together and integrate within the Maltese community.
