Malta and the French
Why the Maltese were against the FrenchNapoleon invaded Malta in 1798, and the French ruled the islands for a very short time. They stole valuables from various churches and the Maltese certainly didn’t like that. So they decided to push them and relegate them in Valletta. The French had enough supplies to resist for two years, but eventually they surrendered to the British in 1800. |
