Visit Bir Mula Heritage House in Cospicua and discover the cultural heritage of this cityBir Mula Heritage Museum is located in Bormla (Cospicua), one of Malta’s Three Cities. The site was a place of excavations where a number of tools, bones, stones and artefacts from pre-historic times were found, proving that the town of Cospicua was inhabited at a really early stage. The building itself is over a thousand years old, with its construction dating back to the Arab period with continuous additions till the 17th century. The house’s structure is such that it allowed different areas to be used for specific purposes that changed through the centuries. After a thorough restoration project, the building was converted into a museum displaying the history and heritage of Bormla and its residents. There are also some archaeological findings found onsite, as well as many items donated by the public. Associated with the Bir Mula House, there are a number of legends that are interesting for you to find out.
