The Malta Springfest 2012

An attempt to break a Guinness World Record!

The Malta Springfest 2012 will be organized in the village of Qormi between the 20th and the 22nd of April, featuring an interesting and entertaining programme of traditions, exhibitions, gastronomy, culture experiences, music, fun and much more.

The highlight of this year's edition will be the attempt to break a Guinness World Record with the largest Glass of Wine in the World! This record is currently held by Limassol, Cyprus who created the world's biggest wine glass measuring 3.37 metres in height last year.

The Malta Springfest will kick off on Friday 20th April at 19:00, with a Festival of Choirs. Along the streets, their will be a good number of stalls exhibiting local traditional crafts. On Sunday there will be an open-air Spring village where you can taste Maltese fruit, vegetables & other food, animal exhibitions and much more. You can also visit the traditional bakeries in Qormi and other historical buildings in the area dating back to the 15th century. 

The Malta Springfest 2012 is organized by Kumitat Festi Esterni of Qormi, together with the Qormi Local Council, the Ministry for Home & Parliamentary Affairs, Malta Tourism Authority and other entities.
