Privacy Policy and Data Protection
- Free Email Address
All personal information submitted in order to sign up for our free email
address and other associated services (forum, classified ads, etc) are
strictly confidential. No information will be passed on to third parties
or used for any other purpose than verifying the user for sign up
purposes. The free email address at malta.com also remains strictly
confidential and will only be used by malta.com to inform the user of any
new promotions or services originating from us and pertaining to the
malta.com website.- Credit Card Payments
No credit card information is stored on malta.com servers. When signing up
with credit cards the information is passed straight onto the payment
gateway and at no point is a record made by us. We never know the credit
card details of a customer. Personal information (name, address, email
etc) may be stored by us for rebilling purposes but remains strictly
confidential and is not made available to any parties outside of malta.com.
- Recurring Payments
Before a recurring payment is due an invoice will be raised and sent to
the customer. As we have no credit card details the customer will be
invited to pay online via our secure payment gateway (see credit card
payments above) or to send a cheque. If a customer wishes not to keep the
recurring service they simply have to not pay. In this case personal
details may be kept for a month after which this information will be
removed from our servers. If a customer wishes to have their personal
details removed before this month period an email to
support@malta.com stating this will
effect the deletion.
- Transaction Security
All sensitive payment data is transmitted via our encrypted 256 bit SSL
certificate. This security guarantees no third parties can intercept the
data at the point of transmission. As stated above no financial details
are kept by us. |
